Bled
Bled is one of Slovenia’s most popular tourist resorts. Its most distinctive features are a lake of glacial origin famous for a little island in the middle, and an 11th century castle.
Lipica
The Lipica Stud Farm, founded in 1580 by the Austrian archduke Karl von Habsburg, was the world’s first stud farm to breed Lipizzaner horses. Today it breeds exclusively horses of this noble breed and boasts a world famous classical riding school.
Škocjan Caves
The Škocjan Caves, sculpted by the flow of an intermittent river eroding limestone, have been included in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage List since 1987. They are considered to be the most beautiful underground caves of the Slovenian karst region of Kras.
